My name is Mark Bryniarski. I
am a Board certified neurosurgeon.
I was born and raised in Cracow, Poland. After completing my medical school in Poland I came
to the United States. I was trained as a neurologist in Albuquerque, NM, and as a neurosurgeon in Kansas City, KS. After my
neurosurgical training, I completed a fellowship in skull base and cerebrovascular surgery at the Indianapolis Neurosurgical
Group (now: Goodman Campbell Brain and Spine) in Indianapolis, IN under Dr. Troy Payner. Between 2006 and 2009 I practiced
neurosurgery in Denver metropolitan area where I successfully developed my practice with special emphasis on skull base approaches,
intracranial aneurysms and other cerebrovascular problems, transsphenoidal approaches, trigeminal neuralgia, and vagal nerve
stimulation. I worked closely with Dr. John Oro, former Chairman of Neurosurgery at the University of Missouri in Columbia,
MO, aquiring skills in Chiari malformations. My armamentarium of skills includes: brain tumor surgery (including skull base
approaches), transsphenoidal pituitary surgery, brain endoscopy, head and spinal trauma, aneurysm clipping, carotid endarterectomy,
microvascular decompression, awake craniotomies with brain mapping, stereotactic brain surgery, laser brain surgery. I also
have significant experience in spine surgery, including anterior and posterior spinal instrumentation, and artificial discs.
Over the last few years I had practiced neurossurgery at Lovelace Medical Center in Albuquerque,
New Mexico, where I had built the neurosurgical program anew within the realm of the Lovelace Neuroscience Center. We had
developed a very strong brain tumor program with cooperation with our Oncology Group at the Gamma Knife Center, and ENT Group
for treatment of pituitary tumors. In our Facial Pain Center of New Mexico we have treated numerous ailments related to pain,
including vascular conflicts in the posterior fossa causing trigeminal neuralgia, glossopharyngeal neuralgia, hemifacial spasm,
and others.
In October of 2021 I joined the Neuroscience
Center in Albuquerque, NM. We are building a premier neurosurgical center with cooperation with Gamma Knife Center of New
Mexico, outstanding Oncology Department, and with highly sophisticated equipment in the operating theater. The Facial Pain Center of New Mexico is among many centers of excellence at our institution.
